is this the 1969 d penny "floating roof" and if so, how much is it worth in a given grade?

This is a very common cent. There is no premium on this even though some web coin site click bait may say it is a big error. In reality it is a over polished die not a error just a worn out die.

A “Floating Roof “can appear on any year Lincoln Memorial cent making them too common to have much value.

Nothing wrong with keeping it since it's due to a heavily polished die, as long as you're aware of the value (or lack thereof).  As you search for errors and varieties, most of what you find are going to fall into the low/no value category.  However, if you find them interesting, they can make a nice collection.  If you're looking to make a big score, then I recommend lottery tickets.  You'll get better odds.
