FTW
Hi. I am going through some proof sets. I started with the 1970 proof sets that I have and came across one that does not have the S mint mark on the Nickel or the other coins. It only has the S on one of the pennies in the set. Are these the proof sets I should be looking for? I really do not know which proof sets are worth the most. I have several from every year starting from 1963. FTW
I am not awake. I just noticed this is 1971. GoldFinger1969
RWB
The item pictured is an "Uncirculated Set" (UC) better known as a :"Mint Set." The little plastic disc even says "Mint Set." They are not proofs.
Mr.Bill347
It is not a proof set, mint set, not proof. I have every proof set from 1954 forward. Only two years did not have proof sets but SMS special mint sets. Edited July 8, 2022 by Mr.Bill347 Typo GoldFinger1969

GoldFinger1969
EVERYBODY was collecting or gifting those proof/mint sets from about 1965 onward. I think the Mint made so many that most (all ?) barely trade above face value today, right ?
