Clay1492
Spoiler Spoiler Good evening. I have several questions about this coin. I realize that most of the doubling on it is machine doubling, but there are two areas I am not sure about. The lower lip, possibly the nose, and the t in trust. I also am curious about the figure to the right of the mintmark. It is in relief. Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

GBrad
Normal coin with noticeable circulation wear and damage. The mark right of the mint mark may be a small die gouge, but it looks more like a scratch to me. If anything, you may be have a slight misaligned die strike on the reverse. I believe the reverse die was the hammer die for this year coin. I do not see any doubling either. Edited July 4, 2022 by GBrad
J P M
It is most likely a MD or Die Deterioration on the lettering hard to see from the picture . I have found no listing for any DDO Sac's and only one for a DDR
Member: Seasoned Veteran DWLange Posted July 4, 2022 Member: Seasoned Veteran Share Posted July 4, 2022 It looks like die erosion or, as J P said, die deterioration. Coinbuf
Coinbuf
One more vote for die erosion.
