Hey found this in a roll of war nickels recently purchased and was looking for opinions, I did the best research I could and to me it looks good but I may be wrong, hopefully the pictures are good enough, thank you, and sorry the very last photo it was still in the two by two but the rest of them it wasn't 20220525_202732.thumb.jpg.f42d47f34dacc92076c2afdd4ff3bdc7.jpgIMG_20220525_202514_HDR.thumb.jpg.c09618c08135367d9db27435e0b02a03.jpgIMG_20220525_202535_HDR.thumb.jpg.04f04bc6c258ceec5e4001b17adc9b5b.jpgIMG_20220525_202554_HDR.thumb.jpg.1cf967b726119b4e5ca60ebb9529f869.jpgIMG_20220525_202410_HDR.thumb.jpg.0bd45f204688ff5da653fe0da227d20c.jpg

The 43/2 is on the Philadelphia issue only.

Sorry, your claim does not stand up to scrutiny with the 30-power loupe both @MarkFeld and @VKurtB forbade me to use.  🐓

Use it for SOME things. It’s not a tool for grading. It can be a tool for viewing the 1943/2 nickel. It turns out that my 1943P that I had in my childhood Whitman blue folder was and is a 43/2.  It now lives in a miscellaneous unmarked hole in my Jefferson Nickel 1938-2005 Dansco album. When I want 30x, I say, “‘Scuse me while I whip this out”, and grab the Amscope stereo microscope.

Truth be told, I could not use it if I wanted to. It is virtually impossible to magnify pixelated images. I am on my wife's cell. The opposable thumb and forefinger is all I need.

Nice. When did you figure out it was the 43/2?

About 10 years ago, when I was “decommissioning” the blue Whitmans. It’s only about a VF, nothing spectacular.

That was a cool find. What kind of condition is it in?

To the OP, that’s a really nice 1943S. Anyone should be proud of it. It’s a little shy on luster, but a close look shows almost no nicks or marks.
