Does anybody know anything about these Japanese internment coins? Got this in Australia dozen years ago in a thrift shop. Someone told me there were replicas made??? Any way to tell if it's legit and/or is it worth anything?

There were replicas make of internment camp tokens for other countries, so I assume they were made for Australia also. Based on the pictures, yours looks OK and appears to be uncirculated with some corrosion. Probably a $10-$20 coin if authentic.

Red unc examples are selling for around $100. Given the frequency these are currently appearing on the market, I suspect a hoard of them is being dispersed right now.
