douglas murphy
I have a coin for the presidential dollar set that is coming up as MS60, but the grade on the coin says Brilliant Uncirculated. The certificate number matches the coin that I have. Thank you for your help.
Fenntucky Mike
The coin was graded to a range, in your case, Brilliant Uncirculated, puts the coin in the MS 60-70 range. Since the coin did not receive a specific grade, my assumption is that NGC defaults to the lowest grade in the range for coins with adjectival grades. You can read more about it here: https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-grading/grading-scale/adjectival-grades/ Ali E.
douglas murphy
So I would have to resubmit to get a number grade? Would it be worth doing so?

Yes you would and no I don't think it would be worth it. My guess is that it would have to grade at MS68 or higher before you would recoup the costs to resubmit. It's not worth the risk in my opinion.
