1858 Flying Eagle

Good day everyone, I have an 1858 large letters cent that looks a bit off center to me. Does anyone know if this is common?

The lack of denticles on the reverse upper right side and obverse left of the date caught my eye.

That is common even on modern coins. A slight MD. It has to off enough so that the misalignment runs into the letters to have any extra value.

I have read that the Flying Eagle was one of the hardest coins for the mint to produce. The way the eagle stretches across with spread wings caused dies to wear out quickly, and centering was an issue. That is why the design only ran for 4 years.

2 years, 1857 and 58.  1856 was a pattern not a coin.

Yup, I have both years but would love to get a 56 but I believe RB states on 2K to 3K where produced.
