Yes it would be good if all the newbie read it before posting their discoveries.  Unfortunately almost none of them will.  And for those that do, most will still be overcome by rose colored glasses and dreams of dollar signs.

Hey,  have you been talking to my son... lollol that is what he keeps telling me.. but aren't we all dreaming of that perfect coin to complete our dream set or buy a car or whatever without us foolish people where would NGC be.. lollol  Thank you for all your help.

I honestly believe both they, and the hobby, would be better off for being able to be taken more seriously. I believe all foolishness devalues the hobby.

Well, this newbie read the article, so for at least one, your efforts were not in vain. The closest I've come to making this mistake was buying a 1903 CC Morgan Dollar - which I have since dubbed "The World's Fakest Morgan Dollar," as Culver City did not mint any MDs in 1903. What an odd mistake for a counterfiter to make, especially considering all the work it takes to make a coin die, you'd think they would have at least matched the mints and dates!

Great that you learned from it, but one thing, it is Carson City not Culver City!
