Do they flock together like "birds of a feather," or shoal shoulder-to-shoulder?

Is a "coin show" a collector murmuration? Are we murmurating starlings in search of shiny objects?

Yes.

It has been discovered there are only four or five simple rules that each bird follows to create these murmurations.  

 

Coin collectors follow several hundred simple rules and hundreds upon thousands of more complex ones that cause us to look chaotic.   Perhaps there's some dimension or some perspective from which we can be seen to murmurate but I seriously doubt it.  It's not that people are smarter so much as it is we each think we know everything.

Only the 1982 original. Enjoyed the images and the narrative was clear; thought Glass' music was idiotic (still do).
