Grading coin process 0

I have to purchase a membership and then I can send coins in for grading?  Is this membership a one time fee or a yearly fee?

@Fred York Consider a membership to the American Numismatic Association https://www.money.org/   With a paid membership there you have access to a lot of resources as well as direct submission privileges to NGC.
