1956 d double die ???

I'm kinda new to collecting coins can someone please tell me if this is machine doubling or a double die

I'd say no on the mint mark but the 9 and 5 are interesting.  If it is then it looks closest to the DDO-04 variety (http://www.varietyvista.com/01a LC Doubled Dies Vol 1/1956DDDO004.htm).

Personally I'd probably toss it in the bulk wheaties pile as it seems more trouble than it's worth.

It appears to be just die erosion doubling. On a true doubled-die the mintmark would not be doubled, as that is applied after the die is hubbed.
