Misaligned obverse

2 posts in this topic

I have a 1964 Jefferson proof nickel where the obverse is misaligned from the reverse about 2-3 degrees clockwise.  Is this significant?

An easy trick to photograph rotated dies is to set the coin in front of a mirror so you can capture the obverse & reverse of it simultaneously.  As long as the question doesn't pertain to details beyond that should be good to go.

But 2-3% wouldn't be considered dramatic and noteworthy enough to add additional value.
