1945D nickel Question....

It's worn, but an interesting coin. The lamination seems to be a planchet flaw (otherwise D WE would have fallen off with the surface metal). Not sure it's worth much more than melt (I think war nickels are about 85 cents of silver or thereabouts), but it's cool. I also see an oddity in the 5, though it may not be much.

I'd say the coin is likely worth silver value.  These kinds of lamination errors are very common on War Nickels.  I cannot even begin to tell you how many War Nickels we saw that had similar laminations when I worked at a brick and mortar shop.
