I would say there's still at least some value simply because any genuine 09-S is worth something. There would absolutely be someone who would pay for that just to fill one of the spendier spots in an album.

Makes one want to *spoon*punch whoever drilled it, though.

There may be someone somewhere who will want it.  Finding them is another issue entirely.  I dont see anyone other than the most die hard low budget collector wanting it at any price.

There was a time I'd have given ten bucks for it. For reference, a G-4 09-S Numismedias for $72.45.

Back when I was starting out and my entire budget for a coin show might have been $10, yes I would have been interested.  Wouldn't have liked it, but I'd have been interested.  Well such collectors are always starting out so yes it does have some value, just not much.
