I have a magnetic 1974 half Dollar

• Hello everyone , I have a question regarding my 1974 half Dollar, here's the kicker... It's magnetic! What should I do?

Look at the rim. You will see the copper as it is a clad half. Take the magnet off it and spend it.

As I always ask, "How magnetic is it?"  Does the coin just show some attraction?  Can it be drug around but maybe not picked up?  Is the magnetic effect localized to just one area of the coin?  Or does the coin JUMP to the magnet if it gets close?

It can be drug around. And it's magnetic fields are around the edges. It is a 71 D .

Sounds like it is either in a bezel or it has been nickel plated.  If you can't see the reeded edge it's in a bezel.  If you can see the reeds but you don't see the copper center layer it's been plated.
