Peace Medal struck by bullet

 

 

Sold by a Ute Indian in Colorado who, in 1873, was in a skirmish with another tribe when a bullet struck the medal, which saved his life. He sold the medal calling it "heap bad medicine" because it should have kept the bullet away from him altogether

I remember looking forward to watching every episode, when I was a kid. We didn't have a TV until 1969

The sad thing is the often when some station is showing an episode it is STILL the best thing on to watch. I enjoyed it when I was young as well. Today I HAVE all the episodes (grew up in the 60's when westerns were big and it has had a lasting effect.)
