SLOT Scores- Updates Coming?

3 posts in this topic

I looked to see if anyone else had recently posted a question about this, but could not find any information.

Does anyone know how often slot scores are updated in the system?

In the Statehood Quarter, circulation issues, the slot scores of a vast majority of coins haven't been updated since 2012...

Some of them seem odd, such as this comparison:

2008-D New Mexico, NGC MS-67

On 1/4/16. POP on that date: 43 w/ only 6 higher and none higher than 68. AND, the slot score is only 20!

2004-P Michigan, NGC MS-67

On 12/29/15. POP on that date: 103 w/ 58 higher and 7 making it to 69. And the slot score is 111 (over 5x higher of an equally graded coin and it has over twice as much population)...

Confused, any assistance in understand this and information about possibly when an update to the slot scores may be would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello, VPhillips.

Thanks for the question. Scores are updated continuously as needed. In order to see the last date of a score change for coins in a specific NGC Registry set, if you click on the slot name, you can see the date stamp for when scores were last changed:

1999 P DELAWARE

You can also go to a registry set and click on All Coins/Scores to see all scores for that particular set. We will be looking at the state quarter circulation issue scores at some point in the coming months.
