Martins Collection for Sale. Listed with prices

14 posts in this topic

Hi Folks .

Sadly Some if not all of my collection is up for sale .due to some health issues.

As some of you know most of this collection has come to me Via Mark Feld Pinnacle Rarities or Coin Rarities online . With that said you would know that these coins are really all there in terms of eye appeal , Quality and grade

As many of you had previously expressed interest in buying these if I was ever going to sell, can you please contact me and I will give you first crack at them . I will then list them on here for a week then I will send them to auction

The full collections can be viewed by clicking the link to the sets below

Thanks for viewing my collection .There has been a lot of love put into these so this is a very reluctant sale

Below is a taste of coins up for grabs

the 1827 doesn't appear in my registry but it is for sale for $1100

I don't know you very well x2rider since I spend very little time ATS but I think it is a damn shame that we constantly hear folks talking about how tight knit of a community this is and how the fraternity of numismatics is second to none.

I have to ask why in the hell would we allow someone to sell their collection to raise money for health problems when there are so many here with deep pockets, and others with not so deep pockets that are willing to pass the hat.

Martin, sorry to use your thread as a soapbox but I don't want to know how much you are asking for your coins. I would like to know your paypal address instead.

PM me please.

Hi, Extremely sorry about your situation, please don't rush into selling anything immediately, let's discuss it first. Please no immediate sales, hold onto everything for the time being. Will send PM.

Now I feel like a a-hole! Didn't know about the health problems. So sorry to hear that.

You should not feel that way. It is like a feeding frenzy in here at times and we sometimes overlook all but the objective .. The Coin. You did nothing wrong at all. I may have but not you.

I think people do help out in private ways. I know first hand I was with some family health issues and hope to pay it forward given the chance down the line.

Hello again Martin, Undoubtedly all of us who are your fellow forumites and numismatic friends hope you can overcome the current problems --- I think you can eventually do so.

We also hope you don't hastily dispose of your favorite collectible coins, please don't sell on impulse, but only after very careful thought, with particular consideration to a positive view of your future potential.

No your right :-)

Now that I have decided to sell a large portion ,I am pretty happy with the decision . I will keep a small collection that I will then start to grow again .

I often think about coins that we buy and then hide away from everyday in our Safes or deposit boxes and they don't get to be appreciated by any other in hand for a long time .

Ive had these for a while and it will be good to pass them on to others who will also look at them , Flip them over and over and smile Put them away and then pull them out to look at them again .

Things are looking up but it will just take a little time to sort out.

Thanks for everybodies good wishes it is certainly Humbling

Martin
