2014 limited edition silver proof set

I noticed that in my American Eagle with varieties set there is now a slot for the 2014 limited edition

silver eagle. I was not aware that the silver proof eagle in this set is any different from the standard

proof. If it is not, then how would one get a slab with this designation as the proof set can easily be

opened. Do you have to send in the set from the mint in its unopend box?

Thank you for your question. Yes, coins must remain in the sealed US Mint shipping boxes, and the entire unopened package must be sent to NGC for certification.

Due to the fact that the 2014 LIMITED EDITION SET coins are difficult to obtain, they have no separate slots in the Registry.

 

These coins are eligible in the Registry anywhere where a Proof American Eagle Silver Dollar, Kennedy Half-Dollar, America the Beautiful Quarters and Roosevelt Dime may be eligible. Thank you.
