Thoughts on this 1934 Walking Liberty Half

Looks like a slider to me.

I think it looks like a strong 65. I like it.

I see what could be wear on the cheek and breast of liberty and the right wing of the eagle.

Of course I can't tell for sure from the images. But I see no readily apparent wear---I'll go MS 64. Coin looks dipped.

I see a little something between T and Y that might be very light chatter along with some very light rub on the hip. If the coin gets past the hip it goes MS 65 or MS 66 IMO.

 

It's a nice coin and pleasing to look at. I see no evidence of dipping as was mentioned.

From the images, easy MS65 and a strong claim to MS66.

My thoughts are that it's a beautiful coin! MS 66 is my guess. Looks to have good luster too.

It's really hard to tell from images, 34's usually come with a good strike.

For an example here's my '34 in an old PCI holder.

 

 

Take a guess what PCI graded it.

You'd think (and so would I). There's nary a mark on her and the coin is hammered.

I'll leave you hanging a while longer for the grade.

Just wondering that if you are convinced, with the coin in hand, why you have not submitted to a top tier TPG for grading? There is a very large value difference between a MS62 grade from a second tier TPG and a MS65-66 grade from a top tier TPG.
