Question about an ebay seller

4 posts in this topic

I like the look of his coins but they apparently are all blue. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why all his coins are blueish? I am not sure if its a sign of AT or not. He appears to have good feedback but I figured I'd ask the pros for help on this. A few of his loose morgans I am interested in buying. The coin is below that I was thinking of bidding on. What do you think?

I just looked at the one coin from the link and it appears his white balance is off. The 84-O Morgan can be purchased in high MS very easily.

PCGS MS65+

The coin you posted looks to have dip residue, many contact marks and lacks luster. I suspect the white balance is "off" to hide problems on the coin.

I'd stay away from this coin. There are many other choices for this date and MM.

I'd be very surprised if the white balance issue is intentional on the part of the seller.

Those pictures are just awful. May even be scans. The fact that everything he offers has the same off color characteristic shows me the Seller is concentrating on something other than photography.

Since he offers returns, it might be worthwhile to buy something from him that has a good strike but way less contact marks. It might be a great deal since with bad pictures he's definitely leaving money on the table.
