Toned 1919 SLQ exceeded my limit

Don't you hate when others find the auction you are wanting. I set my limit at $250 and thought that would be high.

I was bidding on the same coin! I bowed out at $202. If there were better images of the coin, I probably would have bid a little stronger.

Yes. It happened to me this past weekend. It was a Heritage Auction. I was winning going into the live portion. My coins up, no bidding, but at the last minute, a bid is placed. That started some action between myself and the other bidder(s). I prevailed, but at a much higher price.
