Coin Variation

4 posts in this topic

Hi Max, I would like to know if NGC is planning to add the variety variation of the 1945P Jefferson nickel double die to the control panel, at the jefferson nickle (1938-1964) circulated Issue's. I heve a MS66 and I would like to see it put in the proper place. The 1943P double die is listed, so I could not see why the 1945P double die could not be listed.

Thank you. Don

I'm not certain what you mean by "control panel," but all Jefferson Nickel varieties recognized by NGC are listed at the VarietyPlus webpage for that series: http://www.ngccoin.com/coin-varieties/nickels/jefferson-nickels-vscid-17/

Hi Max, What I mean is in the competitive set listing of the Jefferson Nickel (1938-1964) of the circulated Issue's. There is no listing for the 1945P DDR only a listing for the 1945P. Don

Hello, Amarillo.

The 1945P DDR is eligible for the Jefferson 1938-64 Competitive Registry Set. If you get a "NOT VALID FOR SLOT" message, then please follow the directions, below. Thank you.

**NGC: Coin is not showing as AVAILABLE or is NOT VALID FOR SLOT

You may manually enter in your coin, although it may not appear as 1 AVAILABLE COIN.

When you are in EDIT SET mode, go ahead and click on NGC, NCS, or PCGS as the grader. Then manually type in the cert. number in the box provided in the Cert # column.

Scroll down and SAVE your changes.

When you receive any automated messages that say, "This coin is not valid for this slot...," and, "Are you sure you want to save...?" Please go ahead, and say YES. This generates an automated process where we receive the same message and all of the details involved. Then with a few clicks, we can easily and quickly add your coin to that set for you. After we add the coin(s), you will receive a message saying the coin was added to your set(s). If you have further questions, please let us know.
