I see a 1927-P Peace Dollar posted on eBay, I believe that this is actually a Peace Dol that was minted in Philadelphia, hence no mint mark. Am I correct? Twowood

It appears to have become customary nowadays for coin collectors to apply the "-P" in their language for all specimens minted at Philadelphia, even if there actually isn't a "P" mintmark.

 

Those of us who started collecting before the "P" became a regular part of our lives probably would be less likely to use the "-P" so loosely.
