Not Valid For Slot

5 posts in this topic

I'm trying to enter a 2013-S Silver 10c, NGC Certification # 3801032-137, PF70UC into the 10c Roosevelt Silver (1992 - ) slot but get a message saying "Not Valid for slot". Can you check this out and fix the problem?

Set is "Dime Type Set".

**NGC: Coin is not showing as AVAILABLE or is NOT VALID FOR SLOT

You may manually enter in your coin, although it may not appear as 1 AVAILABLE COIN.

When you are in EDIT SET mode, go ahead and click on NGC, NCS, or PCGS as the grader. Then manually type in the cert. number in the box provided in the Cert # column.

Scroll down and SAVE your changes.

When you receive any automated messages that say, "This coin is not valid for this slot...," and, "Are you sure you want to save...?" Please go ahead, and say YES. This generates an automated process where we receive the same message and all of the details involved. Then with a few clicks, we can easily and quickly add your coin to that set for you. After we add the coin(s), you will receive a message saying the coin was added to your set(s). If you have further questions, please let us know.

Hi Ali,

Here is a weird one I need your assistance on. I just received back my newly graded 2000 Maundy set from NGC with numbers 2789654-001 to 004. I added them to my Custom Set (Maundy Money Part III 1936-present) with no problem. When I put them in to the corresponding Elizabeth II slots in my competitive Great Britain Maundy Type set (Maundy on Parade), the 3 P number 2789654-003 showed as " not a valid certification number" rather than "not valid for slot" comment and I could not continue on with the process like I could with the 1P,2P,and 4P. Those three, by the way, were added to my competitive set today.

If you look at my Custom set, you will see that the 3P has a blank origin/country field where the 1P, 2P, and 4 P are filled in. Perhaps that is where the problem is.

Can you help me figure out how to get this coin added to my Competitive Maundy Type set like I was able to do with the other 3 coins??

Thanks for your help as always,

greysoldier cs4335
