I am new and the photo's aren't the best. I took this coin to my local coin dealer and he said I should have it graded, what do you think?

I can't tell from the image whether it's AU or Unc. But it has value, even in AU grades, so is probably worth getting graded.

+1 I would call it Au 58 . I dont think it has been cleaned but once again its a bit hard to tell from your photos.

it looks like a au grade to me. im with mark on this one. just my opinion thou

I think the coin is an AU, not Mint State. I am not sure if the coin has been cleaned. It may have been dipped and has gotten some of that odd webb like toning on it, or it might be cleaning hairlines. I can't be sure which it is from that photos.

 

At any rate the coin must get an AU grade to make certification worthwhile.

Definitely not MS (I'd call it a AU 55 or so), as I see some rub on the upper and lower cheeks, and the lock of hair behind the ear. It looks badly dipped to me.
