Not necessarily. In many cases, Proofs tend to grade higher than business strikes, so the latter can be rarer in very high grades. And you are comparing apples to oranges.

 

Makes sense, thanks Mark. I haven't seen that scenario that often on the stuff I have looked at -- the more 'differentiated' a coin, the higher it's price from most of the stuff I've priced (goes to the whole slab/rating/Early Release controversy) -- but what you say makes sense.
