John Burns, book dealer, passed away at FUN

16 posts in this topic

It was reported across the street that John Burns passed away in his hotel room Friday night at FUN. I'm sure a lot of you knew John who dealt in numismatic books and set up at many shows.

John was a great guy, someone I considered a good numismatic friend, and will be missed.

That's terrible news! :(

He had been doing so well in the past few years, too.

He had lost a lot of weight and was looking pretty good.

He will be missed!

Very sad news. John was a dependable presence, and a reliable source for interesting and unusual books. He was generous with his knowledge and experience. He will be missed.

I am very sad to hear about John's passing.

He was a very good and knowledgeable man, and he will surely be missed by his numismatic friends!

Does anyone know how old he was?

R.I.P. John!
