Grading A Columbian Exposition Commemorative

5 posts in this topic

Here is one last coin I would like to share from my adventures of the weekend. I picked up four of these Columbian Exposition Commemoratives. This is the best of them, but not by much. The detail is very good, particularly the latitude and longitude lines on the dual globes on the reverse.

Any guidelines regarding possible grading?

That's something I had not thought of, considering these coins had been in a lock box since about 1968. Thirty four years is a long time, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.
