PCGS on World Registry

Why are PCGS coins allowed on US registry but NOT on World registry? Can we request the same availability on the World registry?

Thanks for your inquiry. As of Jan. 2012, only NGC-certified coins are eligible for our World Registry sets.

As of January 2012, PCGS World coins will no longer be allowed in the NGC Registry. Thanks.

OIC. Shouldn't the same rule apply to the US registry, then? Just wondering why it was taken away from world registry but not the US registry.

You must have missed the UGLY war of words about this last year; go back and read the boards. Feelings were hurt, people cried, people left, a lot of people complaining to no avail. Sorry for your loss. Hint, it's still a VERY sore subject around here.

Yep, I definitely missed that drama (and I will take you at your word). A direct answer to that effect would have sufficed for me to stop pressing. Thanks for the info.
