1884-CC GSA Morgan $ - GTG! Last one

11 posts in this topic

I know, I know! Last GSA for a while! I'll post something different next time!

This time I actually bought a graded one (NGC).

I don't usually do that, but I liked this one and it was priced right so..

What do you think?

Edited to add: these are the seller's images from the sale page. I have not seen the coin in hand yet.

Well, NGC graded it MS63*

Thanks for the guesses!

I have to say it looks (from th pics) like a high-end MS63 (as per GSA Carson city morgans standards). I have 64's that look more "baggy" and have deeper hits.

If it was not a GSA, I would agree with Kenny that it's not a very strong 63.

The last two sentences of my comment were a bit harsh grade wise, and unfairly so. I don't think it is the strongest 63, but I am fine with the coin as a 63. I'm not so sure why I was interpreting the marks as being so severe the other night.

Maybe it was a lack sleep. lol

Congratulations on the coin; I'm sure if you sell it, you will do well.

Yeah it looks ok at 63 :)

But I agree that if it was not a GSA, I would like it better as a 62.
