I know, I know! Last GSA for a while! I'll post something different next time!

 

This time I actually bought a graded one (NGC).

I don't usually do that, but I liked this one and it was priced right so..

Hard to tell what's going on under the toning but there seems to be some bagginess. for that reason I'm saying 63 no star.

NGC likely called it a 63. I think it is at the very low end of that range given that the hits look pretty deep to me. I would like it better as a 62. I don't think it starred.

I have to say it looks (from th pics) like a high-end MS63 (as per GSA Carson city morgans standards). I have 64's that look more "baggy" and have deeper hits.

If it was not a GSA, I would agree with Kenny that it's not a very strong 63.

I have to say it looks (from th pics) like a high-end MS63 (as per GSA Carson city morgans standards). I have 64's that look more "baggy" and have deeper hits.

If it was not a GSA, I would agree with Kenny that it's not a very strong 63.

 

The last two sentences of my comment were a bit harsh grade wise, and unfairly so. I don't think it is the strongest 63, but I am fine with the coin as a 63. I'm not so sure why I was interpreting the marks as being so severe the other night.

 

Maybe it was a lack sleep.

Yeah it looks ok at 63

But I agree that if it was not a GSA, I would like it better as a 62.
