Submitting South African coins to be graded - how?

4 posts in this topic

I want to send South African gold Kruger pounds and other old SA coins to be graded by NGS. II could send them with FedEx, but I go to New York every six months. Can one drop them off at a NGC centre or dealer in New York (Manhattan)? What is the best way to do this?

I'd take them to NGC and get a receipt for them.

Sounds like the poster asking the original question lives in South Africa. I collect South African coins (but live in the United States) and am aware of the postal issues in that country.

If worried about the postal system, I would agree with the above comment. But I also am aware that dealers in that country (such as EWAAN Galleries) have submitted many coins and apparently without any issues.
