Nice job by the U.S Mint!

 

I received the 5 Star Generals proof coin today...the MS came last week...and I have to say that it is a fine looking coin. I was not to impressed with the MS version and was hoping the proof would have more eye appeal and I was not disappointed. It looks great in hand!

 

The coin is also a nice way of giving tribute to these 2 men for their service to this country.

Yes IMHO the proof coins do look 100% better than the MS coins and I would have to add that the coins do give honor to the 2 men on them but I would also add that it give honor to all the men who served under them. we seem to honor our General's and forget the hundreds of thousand men who carried out their battle plans to Quote a local country singer some gave some and some gave all.
