Quarter almost for sale

Here's a quarter that I just got back from NGC in my latest submission. Its a 1948-S that was graded as MS-66. I really forgot just how nice this coin is. It was originally destined for Ebay, but after looking at it today and imaging it several times, I've decided that this one is a keeper for now. So, I was going to sell it, and now I'm not. grin.gif

I'm curious - for those of you who sell on Ebay - does this happen to you often where you have a coin that's outside of your normal collecting areas, but because it speaks so much to you, it gets put back into your collection?

Attached is the obverse and my follow-up post is the reverse, which is even nicer.

I think the coin is simply beautiful. It's a keeper! smile.gif And yes, I will occasionally keep a coin that's way out of my realm simply because it looks so darn nice! Take, for instance, the 1960 pfroof Washington that I just son off eBay from you! grin.gif

Hoot
