Need to find the right refrence book

Good afternoon my fellow collectors,

I am in need of a good book that will teach me how to know the differance between a reg. coin and a coin with the varerties such as DDR FS-801. I am trying to complete my 1946 - 1964 Roosevelt dime collection I'm down to the varerties and I cant find them in my price range so I'm looking thur rolls and rolls of dimes trying to get lucky.

The book I need should have photos and good discriptions. any help would be fantastic..................Mike

Mike,

I use two reference manuals -

The Cherrpickers' Guide by JT Stanton and Bill Fivaz - check it out on Amazon with the link below - you can look inside the book to see what it is your buying.

http://www.amazon.com/Cherrypickers-Varieties-United-States-Volume/dp/0794832393/ref=sr_1_sc_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362512954&sr=8-2-spell&keywords=cherrpickers+guide

The other reference I use in the Authoritative Reference on Roosevelt Dimes by Kevin Flynn

Not as detailed as the CP Guide, but covers more varieties.

Amazon copy/paste link

Hope that helps.

Todd
