Cherries in bloom on Ebay

Although R-5 and above die state bust half examples appear on Ebay reasonably often (at least in context to their rarity) one seldom finds an R-5 or above die marriage any more.

 

The O-113 is by far the rarest die pairing of 1811 with approximately 45 known examples. (Pretty much in the middle of the R-5 range) Now there is one more.

I think the lack of detail in the wing is due to strike and not wear.
i totally agree.

So much still to learn.

Yes, the weak left wing (as well as the weak central curls on the obverse) is characteristic of this die pairing.

 

You see the same thing on another example from my collection. (Not a cherrypick--even with the lower grade and the scratch I paid slightly over twice for this one as I did for the new one.)
