this series is not a strong point for me with grading but i think ms61 or 62

I'm trying to learn so bear with me, OBV: Rim dings at just about 9 oclock and a couple at about 11, some kinda scratch on jawline, I don't know if the black and white on the stars and ridges of the hair are rubs or reflections, REV: a nick on the top wing above the arrows, the outline of the shield appears to have a nick also. Same deal with the white on the words and the beak and feather tips. M guess would be EF45 if those are indeed rubs These are my observations, however without knowing about the issues I don't know any guess is worthless. Can somebody explain for my benefit. Thanks

I like it as a 63. It has a rim knick with some stacking friction on the cheek.

AU 58 – MS 61 . If the coin has simple rub then AU 58. An EF 45 coin would have a lot more than just rub plus you would have little if any luster left.

Just some everyday crud in the date area. I too was thinking mid to high AU. Thanks for your input guys. Mark I think you're right on and I know you deal with a lot of gold.

My guess is MS62, but possibly AU58.

I don't see any rub, a nice thick natural patina, it is MS IMO but I would need to see it in hand. The crud around the date might affect the grade so 62-ish?

AU58 but I would not be surprised to see it end up in a mint state holder.
