Well done !! 1857 was the first major production year for the Flying Eagle, with17.4 Million minted. First introduced in 1856 with about 1,500 combined Proofs and non proof varieties struck, the 1857 flying eagle was slightly modified on the obverse die from the 1856 design, most noticeably the "O" in "OF" is oval. There are some squared "O"'s, these pieces referred to as the Obverse of 1856 Type and considered one of the key varieties for the Flying Eagle set, Reference: Snow variety S1. These are quite scarce and in high demand by FE collectors.Congrats again on an outstanding addition to your collection. RichH
