Help grade please 1907D half

If you could grade and explain why I would be very appreciative. I'm trying to learn, I think I have the color close.I say VG-8 because the LIBERTY is not complete, almost, but legend is clear. on rev the shield is in better cond and all words sharp. thanks in advance

VG-08 to 10; looks like some scratching on the obverse. Dentils aren't pronounced enough to warrant a F IMO.

I forgot to mention the scratching but wasn't sure if it would go 10. Plus I don't think there is enough of the LIBERTY for fine.Thanks.

VG 8 with some very noticeable scrapes.
