29 posts in this topic

Hi, I am looking for Prooflike coins, $50 or less, excluding clad Washington quarters, for my best friend......

ALSO, I am looking for a problem free, (naturally worn) Poor 1 raw Mercury Dime, any date is fine. Will pay melt for 1.

Thanks!

John,

I have just about any kind of junk silver you want. but I cant sell a single dime at melt when that is dealer price. can sell you a merc ag-vg condition at 3.00 free shipping. Proof like coin for under 50.00 dont think you are going to find one. maybe if you are willing to accept raw coins.

I was going to say, true mirror like proof type coins are really hard to find. I've got two in my full run collection and there is no way I would sell them for under 50.

How do you collect rarity for under $50?

Isn't that what I said?

Yes.

He wants a rare coin for under $50, and a P01 dime for $2, but balks when someone calls him cheap.

He is a *spoon*.

I was thinking the same thing. Canadian PL coins can readily be had PL for well under $50.

Now, CC, you can see the kind of trolling from various members that has caused me to not post here much anymore.

Also PL coins can be had for under $50, there was a cent that sold for $25.

Yeah, I can see very well brother and I don't like what I'm seeing. Trolls like JerseyCrap10 that call me rude terms to my face are why I don't bother with this place anymore..... But who is Jerseycrap anyway? I don't give a dam what he thinks, but I feel sorry he doesn't have a life and messes with people on the internet he doesn't know.... If he said that to my face I think he'd wish he hadn't.

Ummm no, i don't think so. Now, why don't you and noow crawl back into whatever hole you came from.

Funny thing is, you and noow infuriate many people, but you accuse me of trolling.

Yes, but Canadian Prooflikes are intentionally struck with that finish and thus mass-produced. PL specialists consider them to be different than coins that are made Prooflike by chance.

I won't even bother to rip apart jersey's latest post. He's obviously a mal-matured troll and doesn't deserve attention. Let's just ignore him from now on, there are plenty of good people here (and plenty of bad).

Quite funny actually. It was "noow" who trolled one of my BST threads which gave me a first notice of him. I refrained from saying anything at that point. Eventually, my "let them hang themselves" attitude paid off since that is exactly what happened.

As to the OP: He can certainly ask to pay for certain coins (in this case < $50 for PL coins) but he may never find any. No big deal...but I don't think it is necessary to rake him over the coals for it. A gentle "may never happen" post mentioning this is probably better, IMO.

I usually don't do that kind a deals, but if you cant find one, i can sell you 1 merc in ag-vg for melt.

you have to pay $0.45 for the stamp though, so you will be paying 15% over melt in total. But I'm serious, I wil send you one if you want.
