NGC Bodybags to NCS and then back to NGC at a Discount?

2 posts in this topic

Has NGC ever considered offering a service like this and offering a DISCOUNT on the NCS conservation and/or second NGC grading:

Coin is submitted to NGC, but bodybagged for a fixable problem (PVC, AT, etc).

NGC sends the coin to NCS and the problem is fixed.

NCS submits the coin to NGC for grading.

This would save time and money for the submitters as well as drive business for NCS and NGC.

Greg,

At NGC, stickers are attached to the holder or no grade packaging of coins that appear to be good candidates for conservation. Additionally, I believe NCS has a new program where they are giving a small credit for no grade coins submitted with tags from any service, but I think the credit applies to authentication and details grading with encapsulation in an NCS holder. This is not the same as what you are suggesting but it's a good deal if you're looking to have your no grades certified. Additionally, if they can conserve it and think it will grade at NGC, they will contact you. The concept of having this done "automatically" for those that desire it seems like a good one that we will consider and discuss with NCS.
