WOOOHOOOO!!!!! Gold China Panda 1982 1/2 OZ

Hello,

I recently acquired a 1/2 oz. China Panda 1982 for $800 dollars. My best guess is that it would be a MS 60+....

My question is, can someone point me in th right direction as far as someone who is more knowledgeable than me on Pandas. I have both silver and gold pandas. The 1982 appears to be authentic and am very excited but want to learn more about these coins. It is one of my goals to become more familiar with these coins than I already am......Please help....

Is it a key date? Half oz for below melt is amazing

That is what i was thinking.....I am hoping for a MS 60 or + for grade.....

The reported mintage on this coin was 13,391. Estimated population in BU condition is <9,000.

 

If your coin has any dirt, PVC or copper spots, it may be worth sending in to NCS. This was the first year in the gold panda series.
