1825 Half guess

I'm in the XF details camp, cleaned well yes it is very bright and has been cleaned but I'm not seeing any sigficant hairlines to suggest a harsh or abrasive cleaning in these pics.

coinbuf, here's a close up. I agree that it doesn't have the type of harsh hairlines I typically see on harshly cleaned coins but there are these striations in the open fields of the coin. They are not on the profile, stars, letters etc (anywhere slightly raised). I'm not familiar with what cleaning method was used so if anyone knows, please let me know.

 

Also, does anyone know what caused the "double neck" on her profile?

Whizzed?

 

Whizzed means something very specific, and I don't see evidence of that in these pictures. Be careful when you use the term, as many use it as a catch-all.
