I Just Heard a Rumor

I heard a rumor from a fairly reliable source that there is a huge old time collection somewhere in the Chicago area with numerous original bank rolls of Barbers, Morgan dollars, and many never before seen Trade dollars and Liberty gold too. I wonder if it's true, sure hope so!

There are tons of old time collections that have never come to market. They come slowly. It doesn't matter. This stuff goes at 1.5X retail when it hits the auctions.

The "Chicago Hoard" is actually a published rumor. See the Numismatist, 6/98, p. 639. According to this, it is a $200 million collection.
