Hi everyone, This is my first time posting here but have had a great time reading all the helpful information.

I would love input on this '06 Red-Back Spider as I am thinking about sending it in for grading. Thanks in advance!

there were only ?5000? of these minted for the island of Tuvalu

 

has NGC certified many?

 

 

it looks very nice, but hard to grade proofs from pics

Thanks for the welcome! I really want to protect it & certainly a high grade would be fantastic. There were only 5000 minted. NGC has certified only 13: 4 70's, 7 69's, 1 66 & 1 62. I thought it might be difficult to determine just from the pictures but certainly appreciate your input. Cheers!

Interesting coin. I'd go MS69 with the possibility of a MS70 suprise.

 

This might indeed be a collector's dream in a few years as they are thinking that the country might disappear into the sea in 20 years or so ... preserving it is the right choice in my mind.
