I immediately identified it as a cast "copy" and didn't bother looking at the rest of the coin once I had identified the relevant indicators.

it could have been made in a jewelry class 10 miles from you

 

how the h@ck do you expect us to know where it was made?

several of thes have shown up in the athens Ga area. The one I saw weighed 19 grms and was accepted by a store clerk

Strange... maybe it's like the 1931? (Forgot the date) Mercury Dimes that were minted by the Russians... just an idea!
