Went on a buying spree!!

 

Good morning everybody,

 

Yep, that is how I would put it...A buying spree! And I sure did enjoy it. I added 5 more coins to my collection from Heritage and Ebay. Everything seemed to fall together at one time...meaning the coins I was looking and at the right prices.

 

The only issue I am having is trying to find Proof strikes. They are available on ebay but only with BIN and way over market value. Also, nothing has been showing up on Heritage or Teletrade lately.

 

Here are the ones that are now in my collection and they are all MS70s:

 

1991 Mount Rushmore

1994 Capitol

1999 Dolley Madison

2000 Library of Congress

2003 First Flight

 

I have added a picture of Mount Rushmore so I can show everybody, what I believe, is the ugliest artwork on a modern commemorative! Poor old Lincoln...the artist gave him a blockhead!!

Here are the pictures of the other 4 coins...Dolley Madison has a wonderful design on both the obverse and reverse. It looks great in hand!

Very nice additions. I find a lot of times with sellers on Ebay who have coins at BIN prices if the coin never sells at that price send them a msg with a reasonable offer. Sometimes they accept and sometimes they don't but it never hurts to try. Again, very nice additions.

Isn't it fun to add more than one coin at a time. I guess if that were the case all the time though our collections wouldn't be a valuable in our mind !

Nice adds... gratz! Lincoln may have a block head, but Washington looks like he is 400lbs! The Dolley Madison coin is a beauty!

Awesome pick ups! I'll have to go with Dolley Madison as my favorite coin in your lot. I currently own that coin in PF-69, but I have to say she looks exceptionally well in MS-70! All the best!

Thanks everyone! I have just about caught up with the discription of the coins. I usually add what each coin commemorates, it's final mintage, Mint asking price and a little note of my own.
