new events board?

Hi guys,

 

I just made a new events board for the comics section:

 

http://boards.collectors-society.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=comicevents

 

 

I did this for a couple of reasons. First, their general comics board was getting hard to keep track of, and second to consolidate the event-type posts in one place so people would know where to look to locate shows and whatever else has a date attached to it. Do you think we should make one for the coin area, or would that be spreading the traffic out uneccesarily?

There aren't enough big events in the coin business to warrant this. There are a few major shows a year and the major auctions are frequently around these dates.

 

Most of the minor shows/auctions could probably be in the Coin Tangents forum without much disruption.

I agree that we don't need a new board.

 

Frankly, there's not really enough message activity to support the two boards that we have now.

I agree with Greg and Dave, we don't need a new board at this time. There is just not enough traffic to support it.

Of course this may seem impossible to control makepoint.gif but if they read the "message warning" and hit the ENTER button then they have chosen to look and hear whatever is discussed in that forum! 893whatthe.gif

 

School control? Watchdogs? Wouldn't be needed at all! Let them have at it and get whatever off their chests and hopefully they'll make it their 2nd home. grin.gif

 

But then again, there are more appropriate forums out there other then the NGC

forums for this kind of garbage. NGC is not about slander, profanity and hate!

 

NGC is place where collectors alike, whether it be coins, stamps, comics etc., can get together and enjoy their hobby and join in discussions among each other.
