steel cent and morgans

7 posts in this topic

i was given some coins form my dad, this set is kind of interesting, it contains three steel cents, 43 p, d and s. The d and s mint coins are nothing special, but there is somethign about this p mint coin. I compared it to various ebay listings, it looks really high grade with a subtle blueish tone to it. I tried to take pics, they did not come out very well, hard to photograph small coins. i will try again later. I am clueless as far as grading cents and would love some input here

The morgans look nice. I don't think any of the are PL tho'. The Steel cent you are referring to looks to maybe be reprocessed. Nice gifts tho'.

the 1886-p i would guess MS65. only the reverse looks PL, the obverse i dont think is enough PL.

1879-O MS 65 as well, with a strong strike i believe.

1878-CC XF 40 - 50. probably a 45. i like this coin the best. has character. =)

very nice.

in hand the 86-p looks at least PL, i compared it to a PCGS certified morgan at PL and it is more impressive, that is why i was thinking it could go DPL. The 79-o i was thinking as MS63 maybe 64. If anyone is interested all coins in here for sale
