scratched/whizzed? XF details

if you have a big pile of coins you know nothing about and trying to decide what to submit here are some guidelines

gold>silver>copper

bigger>smaller

older>newer

no wear>well worn/damaged

there are rarities and keys that have great value

especially when few are known and have large demand

you should buy a REDBOOK or check auction archives at

Heritage or Teletrade which both have great and large sale historys

to value the stuff yourself

PCGS has a pretty good Photograde online

which is here -> PCGS photograde

On a side note, you may want to consider handling your coins with gloves so as to not deposit any oil from your hands on them (which can leave a fingerprint) further depreciating their value.
